GutterUp Limited Labor Warranty

Welcome to GutterUp’s Limited Labor Warranty Page!

At GutterUp, we take pride in the quality of our gutter installation services. To give our customers peace of mind, we offer a Limited Labor Warranty on all guttering systems installed by our team. This warranty guarantees your gutter system's labor for five (5) years from the date of installation, covering issues related to sagging, pulling loose, leaking, or improper functionality due to installation errors.

Please read the full details of our Limited Labor Warranty below to understand what is covered, what is not, and the responsibilities of both parties.

What is Covered:

This Limited Labor Warranty covers the following, provided that the issue arises due to improper installation:

• Sagging, pulling loose, or leaking of the gutter system.

• Improper functionality due to installation defects.

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing or via email to GutterUp. Please note, this warranty is not transferable and only applies to the original customer.

What is NOT Covered:

The following items are excluded from our labor warranty:

1. Natural or Act-of-God Occurrences
   Any damage caused by events such as lightning, hurricanes, hail, earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, falling objects, or similar natural events.

2. Structural Damage
   Issues caused by settling, cracking, shifting, movement, or structural failure of walls, roofs, foundations, fascia, or rafters.

3. Ventilation and Water Accumulation Problems
   Inadequate ventilation, water accumulation, ice damming, or mold due to structural deficiencies, insufficient drainage, or improper design.

4. Negligence or Deliberate Acts
   Damage caused by the purchaser, workman, or anyone else due to neglect, improper maintenance, or deliberate actions.

5. Normal Wear and Tear
   This includes wear and tear as per the manufacturer's specifications. For claims related to the product itself, the manufacturer will make the final decision on whether replacement is necessary.

6. Color Fading, Staining, and Material Issues
   Color fading, staining, issues with rotten wood, water behind gutters without eave metal, or any form of erosion.

7. Non-GutterUp Materials
   Any installed materials not provided by GutterUp.

8. Expansion/Contraction Issues
   Issues related to the expansion or contraction of windows, siding, roofing, concrete, trim, or similar surfaces.

9. Improper Gutter Maintenance
   Clogging caused by leaves or debris or failure to maintain the guttering system by the customer.

Important Maintenance Notice:

A main cause of complaints regarding gutter systems is overflowing due to debris. GutterUp is not responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, or cleaning of gutters. Cleaning services are not covered by this warranty.

Please Note:

• After 90 days from the initial installation, any service call requests may incur a fee for cleaning gutters to access the repair, or if the issue is caused by customer neglect, such as clogging due to leaves or debris.

Additional Information Regarding Water Problems:

Rain gutters are not designed to make a watertight seal against the fascia board. If water is found running between the gutter and fascia, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

• Shingles issues such as short, broken, or old curled-under shingles causing water to wick back onto the fascia board.

• Pockets in roof shingles due to the fascia board being higher than the roof decking, allowing water to track between the shingles and down behind the fascia board. This may lead to rot in roof decking, rafter ends, fascia, or eave overhang.

• Faulty or missing flashing around chimneys, vent stacks, and other areas.

These issues are not caused by our gutter system and are not covered under this labor warranty.

Exclusions for Gutter System Repairs:

• GutterUp is not responsible for any peripheral issues related to the guttering system, such as leaf build-up, clogging, drainage issues, or dry-well systems.

• We will not replace any component of the system unless it is faulty and under warranty.

• Any work performed by another contractor (such as a roofer altering the roof’s pitch or overhang) after our installation may void this warranty.

Voidance of Warranty:

This warranty will be voided if:

• Installation, removal, repair, adjustment, tampering, or re-installation is performed by anyone other than GutterUp.

• The customer fails to deliver full payment based on the original signed contract.

Limitation of Liability:

• GutterUp will not be liable for injuries to persons or damage to property or structure, including incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from any defect in workmanship.

Effective Date of Warranty:

This document becomes effective upon receipt of payment in full. No registration or signature is required.
